Glass Notepad on hold (only for a sort time)

Well, as of right now lass Notepad v2.0 is on hold for the next week or so. I am buying an HP Envy 14 and it is being shipped as we speak. I am putting it on hold because I am going to have to transfer all the data between laptops so i am trying not to change a whole lot of stuff, but instead organize it so it is ready for transfer. Anyways, i'm looking forward to receiving my Envy 14, i really hope i spent my money well...

Well, pretty much just an average kid with a taste for the artsy stuff. I enjoy the modern, simplistic, streamlined style. Hello there! Is Glass Notepad 2.0 still in active development? I like it a lot and I'd used it for my daily needs. Version 1.0 however had a lack of support for cyrillic encodings, can that be fixed (if not already)? Also I think you can vary the behaviour of the Notepad by checking Environment.OSVersion.

I actually think I already use Environment.OSVersion. But only to check the version of windows (you know, >= 6 and the glass will be enabled, any less and it is disabled.) I AM working on 2.0, however it is coming along very slowly because of college (which by the way i only see as a hindrance to my creativity).

If I am not mistaken, you can also check minor version to differ Win7 (6.1) from Vista (6.0). Hope it'll help.

Well, I wouldn't really Gain a whole lot from doing that, Win7 is just Vista with a few minor tweaks and a slightly updated UI, the DWM still renders the same way, so there was no need for me to check this. Thanks for the info though!

can you tell me how to add black text on dwm form?text appears transparent on the form.i also want to know how to add glow to the text.can you help me please?

Not being able to see the Black text is a side effect of how DWM handles transparency. Unfortunately it is not possible to display black text in this program. Version 2 (which I have been working on very slowly, for a very long time) WILL have support for black text. Glowing text is also not supported.
